Photography is something i’ve always been infatuated with. Remember the Polaroid cameras in the 90’s that printed your pictures instantly? Disposable cameras? Film cameras? As a true 90’s baby, I watched the evolution of cameras but it wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that I was gifted my own digital camera for Christmas. The very next year my house burned down and I lost most of my childhood memories in photo form. I then became “the friend that ALWAYS has her camera & taking pictures” because after losing everything I understood the value of pictures and it’s keepsakes. Material things can be replaced however our sweet keepsakes could not. After graduating from high school, I enlisted in the United States Army and served as a Signal System Support Specialist for 4 years. I obtained my Bachelors degree of Arts in Mass Communications (minoring in Apparel Design) at the illustrious North Carolina Central University. Between college and the military, I worked as a Natural Hair Care Specialist and was an assistant manager at the salon I worked at. I’ve always been a very indecisive person, however, photography has kept my attention longer than any career path I’ve pursued. I began my journey as a photographer in 2017. If you’re having trouble deciding what career path to take remember this quote, “The things that excite you are not random. They are connected to your purpose. Follow them.” Photography has always excited me and I believe somehow it is connected to my purpose!

Lucky for my clients, I am a very relatable and well-rounded individual. I am literally a “Jacqueline of all trades”, well I can do everything but sing, dance, and skate lol As a photographer I have crossed paths with the most amazing human beings ever and I will forever be grateful for each and every client that has graced the lenses of my cameras. Although I love photography, it is part of my ultimate goal in life to gain acceptance into the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program at Howard University (I love and support HBCUs) and to later become an award winning film maker, director, and or actress.
